1). If your church's Conference is making the OSS available from its Conference web site, then your conference has become a OSS Conference Partner by making a donation or paying a small fee to help us bring this shared ministry to the churches of the United Methodist Church. As a church of an OSS Conference Partner, you have the choice of accessing the OSS from your Conference's web site or adding an OSS button and link to your church's web site so your congregation can access the OSS directly from your church's web site. Churches of this Conference can jump directly to item #2.

2). Your church does not need to have its own web site in order to enjoy the benefits of the OSS (see below). However,if your church does has its own web site, then your church can provide its families and children with direct access to your Conference's customized OSS welcome pages and the OSS by adding an OSS button and link to your church web site.

a). Yes, we have a church web site:

We ask that you use one of our OSS buttons as the launching point or link which members of your church will click on to access the Conference provided OSS. You can find the OSS buttons by clicking here and also in the in the Teacher's/Parents Planning Area under the 'How To' tab. (note: there is no secret code or cookies installed when using these buttons.)

After you add the button to your web site have your web administrator add (to the button) the link to your Conference's OSS welcome pages (not the Conference web site, but their actual OSS). The URL link should appear in one of the following formats:

b). No, we do not have a church web site:

If your Conference is participating in our Conference Partnership Plan and your church does not have its own web site, you can still provide your church's families and members with all the benefits of the OSS. Simply announce that everyone that they can access the OSS anytime from any computer at anytime via your Conference's web site.

If you need a web site, check with your Conference. Some conferences we work with are now providing free web sites for their churches.

3). That is it! Your church is on it s way to Connecting the Next Generation with the Word!

4). What if we want our own customized church OSS welcome pages? Simply Christian does can provide the opportunity for churches to have their own customized welcome pages to the OSS. That is, your church's logo, your church's email, contact information, etc., a pastor message, teacher's pictures may appear on the OSS in place of the Conference information. A individual OSS Church Partner membership is available for those church able to make a small donation to the ministry.

If your Conference is participating in our Conference Partnership Plan, it has provided a donation to the ministry in order to make the OSS available to all its churches via the Conference OSS. To get started quickly and have access to all the same OSS activities and features, the easiest route would be to link to the Conference provided OSS. However, if your church is interested in its own welcome pages, please give us a call and we can discus sit further.
